Admission includes all food, non‑alcoholic beverages, activities, and entertainment on the festival grounds on Saturday. Tickets are sold at the gate on the day of the event only.

Cash and credit cards are accepted.

 

Merchandise is not included with admission and can be purchased at the Merchandise Tent next to the Hall. Cash and credit cards are accepted. Soda and water are provided; alcoholic beverages are not. Guests may bring their own alcoholic beverages. IDs will be checked at the gate, and anyone consuming alcohol must have a 21+ wristband. Underage drinking or providing alcohol to minors is not permitted. Please enjoy responsibly. Law enforcement and event security will be on site throughout the day.

Food & Drink

All food and drinks are included with admission, with pop and water available self‑serve throughout the day. Alcohol is BYOB. IDs will be checked, and a 21+ wristband is required to consume alcohol. There is zero tolerance for underage drinking or supplying alcohol to minors. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in keeping the event fun and safe.

Location & Accessibility

Tables and chairs are available under the Smokehouse Tent, with bleachers near the stage for live music. Guests are welcome to bring a lawn chair. Most of the grounds are unpaved and uneven, except for the Smokehouse Tent, stage area, and Kids Zone. Motorized vehicles, including golf carts and ATVs, are not permitted. Limited handicap parking is available, and accessibility passes for golf cart assistance may be available. Contact us for details.

Music & Entertainment

Live music plays throughout the day, creating a relaxed and welcoming festival atmosphere. The Kids’ Fun Zone offers activities designed for younger attendees, making Smokin’ on the Beaver enjoyable for families. Guests can also explore exhibition artist demonstrations on the grounds, showcasing creative skills and adding another layer of entertainment to the weekend.

Kids' Fun Zone 

The Kids’ Fun Zone is a lively, family‑friendly space supervised by youth volunteers from our community. Parents or guardians should plan to stay nearby for children under the age of 12. Kids can burn off some energy with an inflatable obstacle course, carnival‑style games, face painting, and more. Best of all, it’s included with admission. Activities may vary throughout the day, so there’s always something new to explore for our littlest BBQ fans.

Directions & Parking

Smokin' on the Beaver festival grounds are located on the east side of Atwood Lake at the Columbian Hall in Atwood, Kansas. 

How to Get There
From KS Highway 25

Turn East on Lake Road by the Ol' Depot.

Follow Lake Road until you see the smoke!

From KS Highway 36

Turn North on 4th Street.

Turn East on Lake Road.

Follow Lake Road until you see the smoke!

Where to Park

Free parking is available around the lake along the road and at the Atwood Lake Park. Expect to walk about 1/2 mile from your vehicle to the entrance. There is a beautiful, paved walking path around the perimeter of the lake. Limited handicap parking is available near the gate. Shuttle availability varies and will be announced prior to the event.​​

Please refer to the map above for event parking:

  • Yellow areas indicate general event parking.

  • Blue area indicates limited handicap parking located closest to the festival grounds.

  • Red areas are desiginated no-parking zones and must be kept clear at all times.

  • Orange areas mark the festival grounds.

 

​Event signage and volunteers will be on site to help direct traffic and answer questions. If you have accessibility concerns or need additional assistance, please contact us ahead of time. The City of Atwood Police Department will be patrolling and enforcing parking laws. ​Please be respectful and do not park in the Lion's RV park, the Atwood Country Club RV park, or the Atwood Country Club parking lot.
